Working with pain, structure and emotional grounding as one integrated process
Pain in the feet, knees and hips is rarely just a local problem, but part of a larger pattern of structural imbalance, fascial tension and compensation in the body. Physical holding and tension is at the same time also a reflection of how we stand in the world, hold ourselves up, let ourselves down, stay in control or hide.
In this 6-day professional training module, you will learn how to work with the feet, legs and pelvis as a functional and experiential unit to heal pain symptoms and increase awareness. As alignment improves and tension is released, clients not only move more freely, but often experience a deeper sense of grounding, stability and connection to themselves.
Structure and Experience Are Interconnected
In Myofascial Energetic Release, structural patterns and emotional patterns are not separate.
- locked knees can reflect both mechanical strain and wanting to keep control
- collapsed arches can relate to both structural weakness and lack of grounding
- a tilted pelvis says something about lack of movement but speaks also of fear or inhibition
By working with precise, deep and responsive touch, you will learn how to address these layers simultaneously—supporting both functional improvement and increased awareness.
The Pelvis: Keystone of Alignment and Centre of Experience
The pelvis plays a central role in how the body organizes itself. When it is out of balance, the rest of the body compensates, often leading to chronic pain, instability and movement restriction. At the same time, the pelvis is an area where many people hold deep patterns of contraction, related to safety, control and vitality.
Feet, Legs and Knees: Foundation of Movement and Grounding
The feet, legs and knees form the base of the body’s structure and its relationship to gravity. Dysfunction in this area affects not only joint health, posture and breathing, but also a person’s “standing” in the world.
As these structures reorganize, clients often report feeling more stable, present and able to respond to the present situation rather than react to the past. Grounding is closely linked to the autonomic nervous system. With better physical alignment and better grounding, the system naturally shifts from stress and hyper-vigilance toward regulation and ease.
An International Professional Training in Holistic Bodywork
This module is part of a comprehensive professional training in Myofascial Energetic Release offered by True North Bodywork and is designed for therapists, bodyworkers and those seeking a professional training in deep bodywork, fascia therapy and trauma-informed practice.
The training facilitates both the development of practical therapeutic skills and a deeper understanding of how body, emotion and awareness function as one integrated whole. The work supports both professional development and personal growth.
